Can you believe August starts tomorrow?!
My sister is dreading school, but I'm really excited to go back and start my sophomore year of college! I can't wait to move back into the dorms and hang out with my friends. The only part I hate is buying textbooks..why are they so expensive? :(

Beach To Boardwalk

And..I'm back! :)
This vacation was exactly what I needed. I loved disconnecting from the online world, even if for only a short time. I still checked Tumblr and Instagram, but I wasn't worried about posting on this blog while I was at the beach. I didn't even think about blogging, except for the constant stream of pictures I took of anything and everything! Because I wasn't so focused on the online world, I was able to spend quality time with my family and had a blast! Is there such a thing as too many games?! We played card games and board games day and night! I love when my whole family is able to get together and I'm so thankful for these people who love and support me. I can't believe I have to wait 6 more months to be reunited with all of them again :( At least I have the pictures and wonderful memories to hold on to till then..

I think this outfit is perfect for transitioning from a day at the beach to a night on the boardwalk :)

Shirt: Old Navy // Shorts: AĆ©ropostale // Shoes: Keds

These are just a few of the (many) pictures I'll be sharing over the next few days.
Have a great Thursday! :)

Friday Favorites + Important Info.

I am so excited for this weekend! I'm spending 5 days at the beach with my extended family, and I couldn't be happier :) My family means the world to me, and I am so grateful for this time we have together. To sum it up, I'm going to go mainly "tech-free" for that time and I have decided to not bring my laptop. I'm taking my first mini-vacation from blogging! Because I'm finally getting a hang of this "blog" thing (yay!) and posting regularly -- Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays -- I wanted to tell you before Tuesday when a new post is supposed to be up :) My normal blogging schedule will resume next Thursday! Until then :) P.S. I probably won't stop blogging on Tumblr :)

Cookie Butter Brownies: Enough said.
Flights Over London: Really neat video!
Google Things: It's more than just a search engine..
Macarons: So THIS is where all the photos of the adorable, bright, and beautiful works of (delicious) art come from // check out this awesome website! + I love the whole blog! :)
Public Speaking: Great post by Maxie McCoy on TCP! Must-read for anyone. As much as I hate public speaking, it's important in every part of life and slowly but surely with every project/presentation assigned, I'm getting over this fear :)
Quiz: What Oreo Flavor Are You? BuzzFeed knows me so well..I got Birthday Cake aka my favorite flavor! :)
Rain Gear: Sarah Vickers makes taking pictures in the rain look like a breeze.
Red Telephone Booth: An adorable photo shoot Rebecca shared this week.
Screen Addiction: Mackenzie writes exactly what I've been feeling lately..
Sleepy Jones: Mackenzie Horan is too perfect.
Suffragette: Rebecca showed me the trailer for this movie and it looks amazing!
Tyler Knott's New Book: This book is a compilation of his latest haiku (does anyone know what the plural of haiku is?) on love and I can't wait for its release!

Any plans for your weekend? Share! :)

Yay for sunshine, family, the beach, and the memories that will be made this weekend :)
Have a super fun and safe weekend!

I'd Like To Buy The World A Coke

The title of this post was inspired by this tv spot :)

I visited the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta, Georgia recently, and I took way too many pictures than I know what to do with. Here's a few sneak peeks into the place and if you want to see more, visit it yourself! I highly recommend it :) This was my second time visiting, and I still found new things to see and do!

After you walk through security, you're in the lobby and these bottles are the first thing you see.
The designs are too cool :)

This picture can be found in The Loft along with other historic memorabilia.

After exiting the Coca-Cola theater (in which you watch a sweet video!), you enter the rest of Level One which contains The Vault Of The Secret Formula, Milestones of Refreshment, Bottle Works, and a place where you can have your picture taken with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear :)

This is the actual location of the secret formula used to make Coca-Cola products!
(Located inside the Vault Of The Secret Formula)

I loved watching and learning about how the bottles were processed.
(Located inside Bottle Works)

Level Two includes:
  • 4-D theater: Watch a short movie and go on a journey to learn the ingredients of the Coke formula.
  • Pop Culture Gallery -- A must! You can see how people have re-imagined the Coca-Cola logo and you can even design your own bottle :)
  • Perfect Pauses Theater -- This is a place where you can relax from the day's activities and watch TV ads from around the world.
  • Taste It! -- This is the place where you can try numerous Coke products from all over the globe.
  • Coca-Cola Store -- They have anything and everything you could want, all with a Coke logo on it.

Love these!
(Located inside the Pop Culture Gallery)

As a marketing major, I thought this was interesting to read about.
What do you think really happened?

More artwork
(Also located in the Pop Culture Gallery)

My Coke bottle design!
(You can design your own in the Pop Culture Gallery)

These are the actual torches that were used in the Olympics and I got to hold one!
(I'm sorry, but I can't remember where this exhibit was located..)

Coke bottles/cans from all over the world
(This is located in the same place as the Olympic torches..)

These 5 are from Africa and are only a sampling of the many flavors you can taste test :)

Don't forget to look up!

At the end of your visit, you are given a complimentary bottle of Coke! :)
(The last three pictures were taken in Taste It!)

I had a fun time with my family and I'm so grateful for the experience!
I love trying new things, and between this visit and the last, I think I tasted all the flavors they had to offer!

I love the city of Atlanta!
I can't wait to go back and visit other parts of it :)

Have a terrific Thursday!
